(Basic science in nephrology)

Biomedical research is a focus of the division of nephrology. From cell free systems to complex in vivo analysis, from pharmacogenetics to RNAseq of patient biopsies and from hypoxia to regeneration, we provide state-of-the-art methodology. We interpret biomedical research as a tool to address

unanswered clinical questions, an approach that allows focusing on clinically relevant objectives. With all research groups working in separate units, we are united by the fascination of kidney research. We are convinced that our research carries the potential to develop novel therapies that may be helpful to fight kidney disease.
